Golden Monkey
Origin & Characteristics
Golden Monkey (known as Jin Hou) is a premium black tea from Fujian, China. Its leaves have soft golden tips that resemble little “monkey paws.” Only the top bud and one leaf are hand-picked each spring, making this tea rare and highly prized. The golden color comes from special tea plant cultivars found mostly in Fujian, with smaller amounts also grown in Yunnan, Hunan, and Assam.
Because of the careful harvesting and limited supply, Golden Monkey is considered a premium black tea.
Flavor Profile
Smooth, naturally sweet, and full-bodied. Expect notes of roasted apple, cocoa, palm sugar, walnuts, and gentle spices with a mellow, nutty finish. Many tea drinkers also notice hints of apricot and semisweet chocolate.
Ingredients
Black tea leaves.
Health Benefits*
Rich in antioxidants like quercetin for heart health, plus natural caffeine for focus and alertness. Contains magnesium, which supports healthy bones and circulation.
Brewing Instructions
• 212°F (100°C)
• Steep 3–5 minutes
• Enjoy 2–5 infusions as the flavor evolves with each steep.
Summary
Golden Monkey is a rare, hand-crafted black tea known for its beautiful golden tips, smooth sweetness, and complex flavor—perfect for anyone who loves high-quality black tea.
----------

Origin & Characteristics
This blend pairs the natural sweetness of Chinese black tea with the juicy, floral flavor of lychee fruit. Lychee tea is refreshing hot or iced and pairs beautifully with spicy or savory foods. The lychee fruit—native to Southwest Asia—is known for its cooling, rejuvenating qualities.
Flavor Profile
Sweet, fragrant, and full-bodied with notes similar to fresh lychee and red roses. Smooth with little to no astringency.
